Friday, September 10th
Roseburg Firefighters "Fill the Boot" for Muscular Dystrophy.  Firefighters will be walking the sidewalks along Pine and Washington and Stephens and Washington between 9AM-5PM.  All the proceeds raised will be used to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Friday, September 17th - Sunday, September 19th
Southern Oregon Stand Down for veterans in need will be held at the Fir Grove Area at 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd.  Stand Down is an outreach program designed to help the nations estimated 200,000 homeless veterans combat life on the streets.  Services to be offered at this year's event include V.A. medical and mental health counseling, dental, chiropractic, legal assistance and a homeless court, employment and vocational rehabilitation counseling, assistance with V.A and Social Security benefits claims, tax matters, drug & alcohol counseling, clothing, haircuts, 3 good meals per day, showers and a safe place to sleep.

Saturday, September 18th
Tour the OSU Extension gardens and grounds while they are in their prime!  Head gardeners will available at each garden to answer questions and a hayride will be available for seeing the "back 40."  FREE ADDMISSION.

Monday, September 27th
Bonsai class @ the OSU Extension Service in Central Point.  The class will demonstrate and discuss some of the techniques that are used in this practice such as wiring, pruning and fertilizing.  Qualifies for M.G. Re-certification.
